New Memorial to IKe unveil in Washington D.C.

On March 26, 2010 a new national memorial to former President and WWII General Dwight D. Eisenhowser has been unveil in Washington D.C.

The memorial would include a 8 story column and metal “typestries” of photos.

Planning for the Eisenhowser memorial began more than a decade ago and the site, about 4 acres of and by the National Air and Space Museum and in view of the Capitol was selected in 2006.

The Memorial will be the first to a President since the FDR Memorial in 1997.

The Federal Government has already spent about 29 million to develop this memorial. The rest will come from private and public donations.

Backers of this memorial hope that it can be completed in Washington D.C. by 2015
